Our history: from foundation to international expansion
The e.s.m. Edelstahl- Schwimmbad- und Metallbau GmbH is a medium-sized company from Saxony. Since 1995, stainless steel has been processed into high-quality assemblies for national and international projects on a production area of 3,070 m².

The beginnings
The e.s.m. Edelstahl-Schwimmbad- und Metallbau GmbH was founded in 1995 by Dipl.-Ing. Bernhard Klug. With a small team, a great deal of commitment and clear quality standards, the first orders were quickly realized. The successful start in Saxony laid the foundation for steady growth. Bernhard Klug’s values and philosophy still characterize the company today – he has accompanied the development and success of e.s.m. as a partner for almost 30 years.
From regional provider to international partner
At the end of the 1990s, e.s.m. began to expand internationally. Further markets were opened up with trade fair appearances and the first foreign orders in Poland, Portugal and Spain. Internationalization became a fixed and important part of the corporate strategy.
Modern operation and continuous further development
With the construction of a new site in Pirna, investments in modern machinery and the expansion of production capacity, e.s.m. has created a solid basis for quality and adherence to deadlines. The technical equipment has been continuously modernized, enabling precise planning and efficient processes. This progress has been made possible above all by the commitment of the entire team. In 2003, Bernhard Klug received the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award for his outstanding commitment – an accolade that also reflects the performance of all employees.
Our values
e.s.m. stands for reliability, quality and a familiar working atmosphere. Specialists are trained in-house in order to secure and pass on knowledge. Even difficult times – such as the financial crisis, the Russian sanctions or the coronavirus pandemic – were overcome together thanks to cohesion and commitment.
Looking ahead
e.s.m. will continue to invest, optimize production, assembly, administration and warehousing and open up new markets. The dedicated team will continue to ensure success in the future and ensure that the family atmosphere is maintained – no matter how big the company becomes. Over the last 30 years, e.s.m. has developed into a globally active company that will master the challenges of the future with innovation, quality and a strong team.
